J3 Kansai - Episode Guide
J3Kansai (read J Cube Kansai) was a program on Kansai TV that ran for 30 minutes. It featured the Kansai Johnny's juniors (8 of whom became Kanjani8 関ジャニ∞) and the Kansai TV announcer Sugimoto Natsumi (杉本なつみ). It ran from October 1, 2002 to March 25, 2003. It was replaced by Honjani (ほんじゃに!). It was preceded by a show called Juukan VWest (週刊V.WEST) (2001-02).
At first, the so-called top-7 Kansai juniors were featured, along with Sugimoto. They added an additional member to bring the number to 8, thus forming the group Kanjani8 (Kansai Johnny's 8). Kansai TV is on channel 8, so it is said (rumored) that they wanted a group with 8 members as a tie-in. Other juniors often appeared as back dancers during the music performances at the end of every episode.
The show usually started with the song Stance and had a different closing song or medley.
